It is understood and agreed that any agreement entered into between this company and you is predicated upon the truthfulness of the statements herein contained. I authorized you to contact prior employers to obtain any information related to my past work experience and I hereby release all such persons from any liability or damages on account of having furnished such information. I understand that falsification of any information in the application process is grounds for immediate discharge. I further agree that if requested, I will take a pre-employment medical examination. In consideration of my employment, I agree to conform to the rules and regulations of the hotel. I understand that no manager or representative of the company has the authority to enter into any agreement for employment for any specific period of time, nor am I obligated to work for the hotel for any specified period of time. I understand that if I am employed, the first ninety (90) days is an introductory time and I further agree that my employment is for no definite period and regardless of the date of payment of my wages and salary, may be terminated at any time, without any previous notice, and in the event of such termination, any wages and salary due and owing to me shall be paid to me at the next regularly scheduled pay day. I further agree that while I am on the premises of the property, I, my vehicle, or any personal items, i.e. purse, handbag, gym bag, briefcase, paper bags, boxes and cartons, may be searched. I further understand that during the course of my employment, I may be given uniforms, merchandise, equipment, keys, handbooks, training manuals, or entrusted with monies or other valuable properties and that in the event I fail to return and/or properly account for the same, the Company is authorized to withhold release of my last pay check. I have read and understand the above.
Under State law, an employer may not require or demand any applicant for employment or prospective employment or employee to submit to or take a polygraph, lie detector or similar test or examination as a condition of employment or continued employment. Any employer who violates this provision is guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine not to exceed $100.
