OC Sandfest @ The Beach at North Division Street

Experience all of the fun at the new and exciting Ocean City Sandfest. OC Sandfest features giant sand sculptures along the beautiful Ocean City boardwalk, from North Division Street to 4th Street, along with special family attractions and activities.
 
August 18th through August 22nd watch as master champion sand sculptors transform the smooth crystal sand into massive works of art. Sculptures will remain on display through September 1st along the Ocean City Boardwalk from North Division Street to 4th Street.
 
The weekend of August 23rd and 24th will be filled with fun family events and activities including sand sculpting demonstrations and lessons, treasure hunts, sand sculpting competitions and more!
Shore Fresh Farmer’s Market @ Phillips Parking Lot

This market flourishes with a variety of local farmers with truck loads of fresh produce from the fields. The offerings are irresistible!

Travel back in time 500 years when you board the Galleon and experience first hand what it was like to sail the open ocean in the 16th century.
 
The Galleon is a replica of the 16th century ships that Spanish explorers sailed on to discover much of the new world.  The Galleon will be docked Bayside between 3rd and 4th Street and will be open for public tours from August 1st to September 1st.
 
Admission:
 
On Site: $15 for adults, $11 for children (6 – 12)

Josh Pryor at Coconuts @ Coconuts Beach Bar & Grill

Josh Pryor is a singer songwriter who always stays true to rock roots with a sound of spacey folk meets dirty grunge. Currently he is the vocalist for the notorious metal band Goatbag, and also fronting the indie grunge band Robots. Josh has also been playing his standard and not so standard acoustic originals and covers all around the Mid-Atlantic region. If you like bands like Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys, and Radiohead you will enjoy Pryor’s brash soulful sound. Reverbnation’s number 1 singer songwriter in 2010, Josh will astound your senses with his spacey poignant alternative rock.

John LaMere is a well traveled artist who spends summers in Ocean City, Maryland entertaining the masses.  He covers a wide variety of music, from country to rock, 80′s to today. LaMere has over 4,000 gigs under his belt, more forgotten places than remembered, more experiences and stories than should be permitted in a lifetime.  Acoustically Armed and Dangerous? Oh, yeah. Absolutely.
 
Rew Smith at Seacrets @ Seacrets

With his addictive melodies, a soulful vocal style and an off-the-beaten-path kind of pop-sensibility, Smith is quickly gaining formidable momentum towards becoming a major national act. He has shared the stage with My Chemical Romance, The Used, Thrice, Story of the Year, The Bouncing Souls, The Pietasters, The Heartless Bastards, Eric Hutchinson, Virginia Coalition, two-time Emmy Award winner Michael Whalen (Good Morning America, Oprah Winfrey, Inside Edition) and most recently, Graham Colton. Having previously been the front man for the Maryland-based bands Plan B, Truesetto and The Making, he made his solo debut in April of 2008 with the release of his EP, ‘Sweet, Sweet Nothing,’ mixed by Drew Mazurek (Linkin Park, HIM).

The Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks Department is proud to continue its Summer Concert Series. This concert series is held every Thursday beginning June 19th. All concerts begin at 7pm in the Pavilion at White Horse Park. Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs & a picnic, if desired. BYOB is also allowed. Bring your family & friends for a fun evening of entertainment. All concerts are child friendly, with a playground, swings, ice cream, hot dogs & family games such as corn hole for kids & adults.

located along South Division Street between Philadelphia Avenue and the Bay in downtown Ocean City.

All concert admissions and parking are free and open to the public. Beverages, including beer, are available for purchase by the Ocean City Recreation Boosters. All proceeds are used for youth programs in Ocean City.

Please bring your own chair.
