OC Sandfest @ The Beach at North Division Street

Experience all of the fun at the new and exciting Ocean City Sandfest. OC Sandfest features giant sand sculptures along the beautiful Ocean City boardwalk, from North Division Street to 4th Street, along with special family attractions and activities.
 
August 18th through August 22nd watch as master champion sand sculptors transform the smooth crystal sand into massive works of art. Sculptures will remain on display through September 1st along the Ocean City Boardwalk from North Division Street to 4th Street.
 
The weekend of August 23rd and 24th will be filled with fun family events and activities including sand sculpting demonstrations and lessons, treasure hunts, sand sculpting competitions and more!
Shore Fresh Farmer’s Market @ Phillips Parking Lot

This market flourishes with a variety of local farmers with truck loads of fresh produce from the fields. The offerings are irresistible!
Ocean City Before Condominiums @ Ocean City Life Saving Museum

Learn about the ‘small town’ of Ocean City and how visitors arrived via train, automobile or horse and wagon. This program is designed for adult history buffs or anyone with an interest in Ocean City history.

Travel back in time 500 years when you board the Galleon and experience first hand what it was like to sail the open ocean in the 16th century.
 
The Galleon is a replica of the 16th century ships that Spanish explorers sailed on to discover much of the new world.  The Galleon will be docked Bayside between 3rd and 4th Street and will be open for public tours from August 1st to September 1st.

Kevin has been playing music professionally in Ocean City, MD since 1993.  Kevin recorded his first album, Going Home, in 1996, a mix of tempos and styles. Kevin’s second album Troubador was released in 2001. Troubador is a very layered and meticulously recorded CD created with a large band and encompassing many musical styles. In 2006 Kevin’s third album, Scenic Route was released. Scenic Route is a fun lighthearted CD with an eclectic mix of originals and covers, including covers of the Beatles, Elvis Costello, The Church and more. Originals such as A.D.D., Stairway to Kevin, King Midas, and the crowd favorite, Redneck Nascar Honey, which has received a lot of airplay in the Maryland/Delaware area.

Opposite Directions at Seacrets @ Seacrets

Opposite Directions is the acoustic rock duo from Ocean City, MD with Darin Engh on vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, keyboard and harmonica and Bob Wilkinson on vocals, acoustic guitar, bass and harmonica. Opposite Directions was formed in 1986 and since then they have played up and down the East coast from Maine to Florida and as far out West as Colorado and Wyoming. While they mostly play in Ocean City, MD these days, they still manage to get out of town to other places in the Mid Atlantic every once in a while. Opposite Directions quickly developed a reputation for their tight harmonies and excellent guitar work. Voted the ‘Best Acoustic Rock Duo ‘ by Beachcomber Magazine, where ever they are playing is considered the place to be for great acoustic music. You will often hear songs by such artists as James Taylor, Jim Croce, CSNY, America, Jimmy Buffet and others as well as their own songs from their release ‘Seeds of Change’ but Opposite Directions also covers a wide range of musical styles from blue grass to modern rock to blues to reggae.
