9 Mile Roots is a Baltimore Roots Rock Reggae band that strives to push the boundaries of the reggae music scene and bring creative catchy music to the masses. With all members of the band coming from diverse backgrounds, the music produced has a strong reggae vibe with a cool bouncy flow and a bit of a rock edge.  Their full horn section compliments the typical rock band line-up; combining catchy melodies with strong riffs and a reggae-funk-overtone, consistently blending the reggae and rock genres to where the music just floats on it’s own.

 Born and raised in Canton, Ohio (home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame), Rupe started DJing in Ohio in 1980. He moved to Ocean City in 1982 after knee and wrist injuries cut a possible baseball career short as a catcher. In 1983, Rupe started DJing in Ocean City and has been a staple in the region for 3 decades! DJ Rupe can be found playing, Reggae, Buffett, Beach Party Music, Motown, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, Dance, Old School Dance and New Dance Music.

Sunfest celebrates its 40th year as Ocean City’s biggest and best festival. Popular entertainers highlight four days of fall fun with arts & crafts, big-top tents, food vendors & more. All entertainment is free with the exception of evening headline acts. Sunfest artists will delight your senses with their unique designs of fine art & distinctive crafts. Try the bold taste of the Eastern Shore with fabulous food from over 30 food vendors, featuring seafood, crab cakes, fried chicken, pit beef and more. 2. Ride the Boardwalk Tram to the Inlet for $3 each way. 
3. Express trolley shuttles will depart from the south lot of the Roland E. Powell Convention Center at 40th Street (free parking). Trolley shuttle fares: ride all day for $3 or $1 per boarding.
4. Free parking at the Public Safety Building on 65th St, Northside Park on 125th St or Municipal Lot on 100th St. Then ride the bus to Sunfest. Bus fares: ride all day for $3 or $1 per boarding.

Kevin has been playing music professionally in Ocean City, MD since 1993.  Kevin recorded his first album, Going Home, in 1996, a mix of tempos and styles. Kevin’s second album Troubador was released in 2001. Troubador is a very layered and meticulously recorded CD created with a large band and encompassing many musical styles. In 2006 Kevin’s third album, Scenic Route was released. Scenic Route is a fun lighthearted CD with an eclectic mix of originals and covers, including covers of the Beatles, Elvis Costello, The Church and more. Originals such as A.D.D., Stairway to Kevin, King Midas, and the crowd favorite, Redneck Nascar Honey, which has received a lot of airplay in the Maryland/Delaware area.

Free Tour of Poplar Hill Mansion @ Poplar Hill Mansion

This beautiful Federal period manor house was built circa 1800 and is Salisbury Maryland’s oldest home. Now operated as a museum, the home was originally built by Major Levin Handy on a part of the tract called Pemberton’s Good Will. Luckily, this house was far enough removed from the great fires in the center of town during the mid 19th century that it escaped destruction. The two-story, five-bay frame house is richly decorated dwelling retaining a high percentage of its original woodwork. The bold block cornices, intricate fanlight entrance and Palladian style windows are prominent exterior features. The interior spaces are distinguished by a wealth of neoclassical carved woodwork and has recently been restored to its original color scheme and furnished true to its period.

They’re a 6 piece band that always gets the crowd involved and performs like there’s no tomorrow. They’re the ultimate party band and when they play, nobody sits down.
Bird Dog and the Road Kings at M.R. Ducks @ M.R. Ducks

Bird Dog and The Road Kings play Honky-Tonk – Truck-n-Country, Blues and Blue Grass.  This band originated in 1973 and they are still trucking today and hitting on all cylinders. Through the years they have traveled most of the southeastern United States, New York, to Key West, Florida, Austin, Texas to Nashville, Tennessee and all of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. All of the states and a lot of the cities of towns in between. White collar, blue collar, concert halls to honky-tonks, deck bars to outdoor arenas, private parties and weddings, they’ve played ‘em all.

Lauren Glick can deliver just about any style of music, but she is known as the ‘Janis Joplin’ of the beach. Lauren sings from the heart and soul, giving it all she’s got. On the other side of the spectrum, her original music is influenced by Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Sara McLaughlin, and Amy Mann.

Free Community Yoga @ St. Paul's by the Sea

A  free community yoga class  is offered at The Red Doors on Sundays from 7-8 pm.
Yoga is a beneficial practice for physical and mental health.   Join us for our practice by candlelight on our meditation labyrinth and begin your week with peace.  Bring a friend or family member and use this chance to reconnect.
Yoga can be modified to suit all ages and mobility levels.  Instructor Chrissy Ehrhart is RYT 200 Certified and owns Zenna Wellness Studio in Berlin, Maryland (http://www.zennawellness.com).   Instructors on dates Chrissy is not leading practice are also RYT 200 or YogaFit certified.
Please register to let us know you are coming.  A number of mats are available; please bring a mat if you have one.  A bottle of water is also helpful.
Yoga benefits the mind, body, and soul.  Come participate in free sessions every Sunday night from 7-8 pm.  Sessions are usually conducted by candlelight and take place on our meditation labyrinth.
