 Born and raised in Canton, Ohio (home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame), Rupe started DJing in Ohio in 1980. He moved to Ocean City in 1982 after knee and wrist injuries cut a possible baseball career short as a catcher. In 1983, Rupe started DJing in Ocean City and has been a staple in the region for 3 decades! DJ Rupe can be found playing, Reggae, Buffett, Beach Party Music, Motown, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, Dance, Old School Dance and New Dance Music.

Off the Boat is the musical imagining of James Gallagher of Co. Donegal, Ireland. He and his fellow music makers provide a unique interpretation of many traditional irish pub tunes. Off the Boat performs a selection of James Gallagher’s original compositions, all of which receive air time in Ireland, Germany, Slovenia and the United States.  Pub-goers may get a dose of Irish history (or celtic mythology) while enjoying an Off the Boat performance.

Captain Jack is one of Baltimore’s premier cover bands, playing a range of songs by popular artists from the ’80s, ’90s and today, from Journey and Bon Jovi to The Killers and Bruno Mars. The band has played hundreds of bars and clubs in Baltimore and Washington, festivals and events across the Mid Atlantic, and recently opened for national recording artist, Train, in Florida.

Experience all of the fun at the new and exciting Ocean City Sandfest. OC Sandfest features giant sand sculptures along the beautiful Ocean City boardwalk, from North Division Street to 4th Street, along with special family attractions and activities.
 
August 18th through August 22nd watch as master champion sand sculptors transform the smooth crystal sand into massive works of art. Sculptures will remain on display through September 1st along the Ocean City Boardwalk from North Division Street to 4th Street.
 
The weekend of August 23rd and 24th will be filled with fun family events and activities including sand sculpting demonstrations and lessons, treasure hunts, sand sculpting competitions and more!

Travel back in time 500 years when you board the Galleon and experience first hand what it was like to sail the open ocean in the 16th century.
 
The Galleon is a replica of the 16th century ships that Spanish explorers sailed on to discover much of the new world.  The Galleon will be docked Bayside between 3rd and 4th Street and will be open for public tours from August 1st to September 1st.

Lauren Glick can deliver just about any style of music, but she is known as the ‘Janis Joplin’ of the beach. Lauren sings from the heart and soul, giving it all she’s got. On the other side of the spectrum, her original music is influenced by Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Sara McLaughlin, and Amy Mann.

What makes Over Time unique is the way it was formed back in 2004. This band is led by the local popular music teacher Mark Marvel. Mark has been the music director at Indian River High School for the past 25 years, and is an excellent musician and teacher. Mark plays several instruments, but his favorite is the guitar. The rest of the band, Eric, Greg, and Tim, are all former top music students of Mark’s from Indian River High School.  Over Time plays classic rock, and is a great band for dancing, appealing to a wide range of ages.

John LaMere is a well traveled artist who spends summers in Ocean City, Maryland entertaining the masses.  He covers a wide variety of music, from country to rock, 80′s to today. LaMere has over 4,000 gigs under his belt, more forgotten places than remembered, more experiences and stories than should be permitted in a lifetime.  Acoustically Armed and Dangerous? Oh, yeah. Absolutely.

Kevin has been playing music professionally in Ocean City, MD since 1993.  Kevin recorded his first album, Going Home, in 1996, a mix of tempos and styles. Kevin’s second album Troubador was released in 2001. Troubador is a very layered and meticulously recorded CD created with a large band and encompassing many musical styles. In 2006 Kevin’s third album, Scenic Route was released. Scenic Route is a fun lighthearted CD with an eclectic mix of originals and covers, including covers of the Beatles, Elvis Costello, The Church and more. Originals such as A.D.D., Stairway to Kevin, King Midas, and the crowd favorite, Redneck Nascar Honey, which has received a lot of airplay in the Maryland/Delaware area. 
 
Free Community Yoga @ St. Paul's by the Sea

A  free community yoga class  is offered at The Red Doors on Sundays from 7-8 pm.
 
Yoga is a beneficial practice for physical and mental health.   Join us for our practice by candlelight on our meditation labyrinth and begin your week with peace.  Bring a friend or family member and use this chance to reconnect.
 
Yoga can be modified to suit all ages and mobility levels.  Instructor Chrissy Ehrhart is RYT 200 Certified and owns Zenna Wellness Studio in Berlin, Maryland (http://www.zennawellness.com).   Instructors on dates Chrissy is not leading practice are also RYT 200 or YogaFit certified.
 
Please register to let us know you are coming.  A number of mats are available; please bring a mat if you have one.  A bottle of water is also helpful.
 
Yoga benefits the mind, body, and soul.  Come participate in free sessions every Sunday night from 7-8 pm.  Sessions are usually conducted by candlelight and take place on our meditation labyrinth.
