Welcome to the East Coast’s fastest growing bike rally! Spring is nearing and everyone is itching to fire up their bikes and head to the beautiful resort town of Ocean City, Maryland!

The Maryland International Kite Exposition will feature three fun-filled days of kite flying on the beautiful beaches of Ocean City, Maryland.   

Throughout the festival, there will be exhibitions and demonstrations including stunt and power kite lessons, free children’s games and activities, and much more! The festival will showcase some of the best kite flyers from around the world. Kites of all shapes and sizes will be on display including some massive character and theme based kites. On behalf of The Kite Loft and The Town of Ocean City we welcome everyone to join in the festivities. Bring your family for several days of good old fashion kite flying. Remember when we say “Go Fly a Kite”, we mean it.

Ward World Carving Competition @ Roland E. Powell Convention Center

Zumba is a fun, Latin inspired dance fitness form of aerobic exercise that incorporates world music and hip hop/dance music to create a high-energy workout class!  Every Zumba class is a party!  Come join wearing comfortable athletic clothes and sneakers with low tread, and bring a water bottle and a small towel!
Instructor Fawn Mete is Zumba certified and has taught dance classes including ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical dance to children and adults.

Poodle Club of America National Specialty @ Wicomico Youth and Civic Center

Hundreds of Poodles and Poodle owners from all over the
United States, Europe, Australia, and Japan will soon descend upon Salisbury
for the 82nd Annual Poodle Club of America National Specialty Dog Show April
20-25th at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.  The event is all
Poodles, all the time, all varieties including Toy, Miniature and Standard. The
five day show is free of charge for spectators and open to the public.

The Civic Center is magically transformed for the week. The interior of the
arena is laid with sod to provide the best footing possible for the Poodles and
their handlers. The exhibition rings are decorated with elaborate flower
arrangements. The Midway Room in the Civic Center becomes a dog-loving
shoppers’ paradise, and the rear parking lot becomes an RV campground complete
with electric hookups, barbeque grills, tents and lawn chairs.

There are other aspects to the week beyond the dog show competition. For

Having previously been the front man for the Maryland-based bands Plan B, Truesetto and The Making, he made his solo debut in April of 2008 with the release of his EP, ‘Sweet, Sweet Nothing,’ mixed by Drew Mazurek (Linkin Park, HIM).

 Dave Hawkins, an accomplished musician, has been playing music for what seems to be his entire life. Music is his passion and he is passionate about how it’s perceived throughout his audience. He plays many guitars, harmonica, and fiddle and when you hear him you will think there is a whole band, not just one person. This is accomplished by what is known as looping.  There is never a ‘backing track’ to play along with, which is used by some other players out there. His vocals and music will reach the deepest part of you while it sets your senses alive. He plays sounds from the current popular, to classic rock, to Dave Matthews, to his own original compositions as he touches on just about any genre you may desire.
